FAQ
What Is A Lash Lift And Tint?
One way to think of a lash lift is like a perm for your eyelashes. Unlike a lash extension, a lash lift simply alters the shape and color of your natural lashes.
Although a lash lift and a lash tint are two separate procedures that can be performed on their own, combining them will double your beauty benefits: your lashes will first be curled by the lash lift and then colored by the tint.
What To Expect From a Lift & Tint
A lash lift and tint subtly enhance your lashes. These procedures don’t fill out or lengthen your lashes; they work with the lashes you’ve got. So, the results are noticeable yet understated.
What Does A Lash Lift And Tint Involve?
Your lashes are curled over and attached to a silicone pad called a rod. This rod is shaped like a half-moon, and it helps give your lashes the flirty curve you’re after.
Once your lashes are positioned just right over the rod, a softening solution is applied to allow them to be reshaped into an upward curl.
Then a different solution is applied to your lashes to set their new shape.
Next, your lashes are colored with a special lash-friendly dye to make them look darker and thicker.
Do I Need To Get BOTH a Lift & Tint?
Absolutely not! If you have naturally curly lashes that are light in colour that you just want to darken like mascara does, then tint will work perfectly. Have dark, flat lashes? All you need is a lift!
How Long Does It Take?
Generally a lift and tint takes around 60 minutes, a lift by itself is also 60 minutes, and just a tint takes about 25 minutes.
How Long Does It Last?
Usually a lift will last 4+ weeks and the tint would need to re-touched every 3-6 weeks.
What Do I Need To Know For Aftercare?
Avoid water, steam, eye make-up, and make-up remover for the first 24 hours after your lift. As with any perming treatment, exposure to moisture and humidity straight afterward can ruin the result. After 24 hours have elapsed, you can treat your lashes as usual – there’s no need to change your make-up routine or stop cleansing your face.
